Body confidence

As well as blogging, I write for an online magazine, and try to submit at least one article a week. I’ve only done 4 so far, but my most recent one really struck it chord. I chose to list 10 steps to body confidence, and as I began to research into body image issues,¬† I found some facts and figures quite upsetting.

Anyway, I can’t publish it on WordPress as a blog, but I can share the link

Clean 9 – a week later

So it’s a week since I compleated the cleanse/detox and I thought I would write a little update. But it’s going to be a short update because I’m strictly clean eating now, no bread, no coffee, no fizzy drinks, no crisps, no cakes, and best of all, NO CHOCOLATE. I literally haven’t had any chocolate at all for 16 days now. I could’ve ate two bars a day just 3 weeks ago, easily.

My meals are the same, all made from scratch, only I’m putting a little more thought into them, and actually enjoying cooking more now, rather than seeing it as a chore. I’ve replaced semi skimmed milk with skimmed for my Bran Flakes in the morning, and the only thing I’ll drink now is water.

My mood has gone from being I guess unpredictable, to constantly happy. I feel good in myself and my confidence continues to rise. I actually complained tonight that my clothes feel too baggy and I don’t like it, but of course I like it, I’m at least a size smaller, what’s not to like about that?!

So I’m now compleatly¬†confident I can continue to live a clean, healthy lifestyle, because the very thought of ever going back to abusing my body with all those sugary snacks and fizzy drinks , fills me with fear.
